Goodbye July!

I'm blessed to be learning beekeeping. This was my first time wearing the bee veil and getting right up close and personal with the hives. I was scared to death lol "Beeeees!! All around me! They're landing on meeeee!"
A hot sunny day! And I was trying to make the front yard more appealing to my weird kids that seem to only want to fuss to come in, then fuss to be let out... I think they are reincarnated cats!
Our growing barley crop :-)
Diaper artists enjoy fingerpainting!

What happens to the bees in winter?

What a lovely idea to tape paper to the floor like that. You are a very resourceful mohter, Michelle - the kids look very content :)

Ha, this woman doesn't even have a bee hive. There happened to be a couple of bees hanging around the buildings and she thought it would be good to try and get into bee keeping. I'm a neighbour of hers and I know the make belive world she creates for herself. More hobbies than you can shake a stick at can't get off her backside to help her husband round the farm.

LOL! For such an "informed" neighbor you don't seem to know squat.

Weirdo.

You are so brave! I have a very healthy fear of bees! :-) Good for you though! That honey will come in handy. It's so expensive in the stores!
