Yoga!

I started a 6 week yoga class that ended just before Christmas. I'm hooked!! So I've signed up again for the next 6 week block. Here is my quilted yoga mat. (stretched up the stairs.)

Nice to see you back and happy new year !
I have been practising yoga since 2003 and it is so good for general well being, and even for mental serenity, I couldn't live without yoga now...

I always had the idea that yoga was a gimmick, a passing fad. So I never took it seriously. I joined the local class on a whim and now I'm hooked! The results are amazing!!

good to see you back

What results have you seen?

Michelle Therese said...

A LOT of strength returning to my core ab muscles ~ without having to "kill" myself with intense, demoralizing, overly painful workouts.

The amount of result that I've seen is shocking compared with the effort involved with the yoga exercises.

(I'm doing Hatha yoga, the gentle kind.)

I was wondering about yoga and found these links, though they are not Catholic sites:

You have a nice, colorful yoga mat! Although it’s possible to practice yoga without a mat, it would be more effective to use one. The main benefit of a yoga mat is the improvement of balance and coordination. It will also prevent any possible injuries that might occur during the exercise.
